Allergens and pollution are at an all-time high. Lung and skin conditions are on the rise. Cold and flu season is always here. People are looking for prevention and symptom relief. Dry salt therapy, also called halotherapy, is a time-tested, alternative treatment for many common inflammatory conditions.
HALOTHERAPY
What is Halotherapy? Also known as dry salt therapy, it is the use of pharmaceutical grade salt crushed into micro-particles. The micro-particles are inhaled deep into the respiratory system, while the remaining salt particles are absorbed by the body to unleash their natural anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.
The properties of dry salt therapy remove impurities and provide anti-bacterial properties that benefit skin such as acne, psoriasis and eczema as well as regulate the skin’s micro-circulation. The larger particles land on the skin and absorb bacterial and foreign substances. The dry salt accelerates cell rejuvenation and improves skin rigidity.

We have curtains for privacy. This is a communal experience at times hosting up to 6 people, but divider curtains can be closed for privacy.
Guests of the Salt Spa at Allure and Spa Halo IR Sauna must be at least 18 years of age, and provide proper identification, to have a private spa service. Guests between the ages of 12 to 17 may enjoy a spa service with a parent or guardian present at all times or sign a consent form. Families with Children under 12 may book a private Salt Room session with their children.

Once you enter the salt room, you can sit and relax. The lights will dim, and you can choose to listen to relaxing music, read a book or magazine, meditate, or simply rest. The temperature and humidity in the rooms are controlled to provide an optimal experience. You will find pure relaxation and tranquility away from your everyday stress, leaving you rejuvenated and fully energized. (Cell phones, electronics, and jewelry are not permitted since salt can be corrosive.)
The salt, 99.99% pure grade sodium chloride, is heated and then ground and crushed into very tiny microparticles. These dry aerosol microparticles of salt are then dispersed into the salt room where they are inhaled and penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli. The non-inhaled salt particles fall onto the skin and are absorbed.
When your session is over, you may notice a faint trace of salt on your lips, and the slight taste of salt on your tongue. Any salt that collects on your clothing can be easily brushed off. A runny nose or increase in coughing means your body clearing out mucus and toxins.
I am a smoker, would this benefit me?
Not if you are currently using tobacco products. Guests should refrain from using all tobacco and recreational products 3
weeks prior to session.
How many sessions will I need?
Many people feel benefits after a single session. However, clients with a chronic respiratory or skin condition may need multiple sessions to strengthen their immune system and provide relief. Every individual is unique.
Our goal is provide you with a place of relaxation, quiet reflection, decompression, and rest. Each Salt Session is an electronic device FREE area. Upon entering the salt room, you will place your phone, keys, & shoes in a secure, private closet to be picked up upon the conclusion of your salt session.
Please bring clean, white socks to be worn during your session.
**(new, white socks can be purchased if you forget yours)Salt sessions are typically in a communal room accommodating up to 6 clients. Curtain dividers are in place for your privacy.
Private sessions can be booked ahead of time for an additional fee.
We also have the HaloIR Infrared Sauna that provides Halotherapy treatments in your own private room.
Halotherapy sessions are booked on the hour. Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete the client intake form. If you arrive late, we will not be able to interrupt the session but will be happy to re-book the session for you.
As this is a place of relaxation…. Please place your phone on silent and refrain from using your cell phone in the spa.
Prior to your visit, we ask that you do not apply any cologne, perfume, or fragrance lotion. Thank you.
